sasha kazantsev: bio

Sasha Kazantsev (b. 1987 in St. Petersburg, Russia) is a photographer and installation artist currently based in Finland. Kazantsev's work explores relationships between the natural environment and human lifestyle, and differences between social values. Kazantsev's works have been exhibited across Russia and he has been included in group exhibitions such as Saint-Petersburg Biennale of Contemporary Art.

He holds a Bachelor of Techniques and Technology from St. Petersburg State Polytechnical University. Since 2008 he has been an auditor student at MA programme in curatorial studies from Smolny College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Currently he is an auditor student in the photography programme at Saimaa University of Applied Sciences.
